Crinkly Eyes Look Good on Santa, But Not You

This is part 1 in a series of 3, which is designed to help you take action to protect and enhance the health and appearance of your skin. First, wrinkles are caused by thinning or atrophy of the skin and dryness or loss of moisture. Plus, the everyday movement of your eye muscles breaks down the structural collagen fibers, which leads to wrinkles.

Follow these four simple steps to improve the health and appearance of your eyelids. First, begin by applying a collagen breakdown inhibitor. An example is a product that contains a very effective Vitamin A medicine. Second, apply a UV protective agent that prevents premature collagen breakdown, such as Rejuvenate. Third apply a mild surface skin tightener and moisturizer that effectively communicates with receptors in your skin. My recommendation is to use a product we carry here at AnewSkin Dermatology, called Peptide Plus Eye Treatment each morning, which provides for an immediate skin tightening effect. Fourth, Botox balancing will help avoid the daily excessive muscle breakdown of collagen fibers that lead to deepening of wrinkles. A three minute treatment 2 or 3 times per year will allow your skin to smooth and heal. Taken together these four steps can make a tremendous difference in the health and attractiveness of your eyes, one of your most important attributes. Next, we will explain “Dark Circles,” the causes and the treatments.
